要注意"There seems/appears to be..." 和"It seems to be..."的区别：

"There seems to be..." 是 "There is..." 或 "There are..." 加上 "seems" 构成的，很多时候句型中的‘to be”可以省略，意思是：“好像有…;看起来...;似乎...”。

例句：

There seems to be some mistakes in your thesis.
看来你的论文中有几个错误。

There seems to be no better way to solve this thorny problem.

好像没有更好的方法去解决这个棘手的问题了。

"It seems to be..." 是 "It is" 加上 "seems" 构成的，意思是：“它好像是…”。这个 "it" 可以是实意代词，也可以是形式代词，如果是形式代词，“它”和“是”都不一定要翻译出来。

例句：
There seems to be a problem.好像有问题。(比较 There is a problem = 有问题。)

It seems to be a problem.这好像是个问题。(比较 It is a problem. = 这是个问题。)
